1. Who we are

The Union of Romanians in Great Britain is the data controller for information collected through sindicatulromanilor.co.uk. For any question about your data, email us at contact@sindicatulromanilor.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

Through the contact form we collect: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the content of your message, and whether you've indicated interest in becoming a member. We don't collect any other personal data through this site.

3. Legal basis and purpose

We process this data on the basis of the consent you give by ticking the GDPR checkbox on the form, in order to respond to your message and, if you've asked us to, to contact you about joining as a member.

4. How long we keep it

We keep contact form data for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. If you become a member, relevant data is kept for the duration of your membership and afterwards, as required by law for union records.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We only share it with the technical providers that let us run this site:

• Microsoft Azure — hosts the site and stores messages submitted through the form
• Google (Gmail) — used to send confirmation and notification emails
• Microsoft Clarity — analyses visitor behaviour on the site, in anonymised form, via cookies
• Cloudflare — manages the domain name and routes email to contact@sindicatulromanilor.co.uk

6. International transfers

Some of the providers above may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on standard contractual clauses and the compliance safeguards offered by these providers.

7. Cookies

This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used (e.g. which sections visitors look at), through cookies that record interaction in anonymised form. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
